UI Campus Greens are working in conjunction with the UI Environmental Coalition to establish a student-run cooperative organic garden on campus.  We are currently meeting with administrators to finalize a location.  The University has told us that we should have plans finalized by next Spring.  The garden will be mixed-used at least for the first several years in order to integrate native grasses to replenish the soil and still allow some vegetable production.  Food that is harvested will be available to all student gardeners and all surpluse will be donated to local shelters.
