The Midwest Campus Greens is a
network of Campus Greens who organize events together and trade ideas
in the regions of Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, and anywhere
else people feel like coming in from!
So
what is Campus Greens?
Have you heard of the Green Party?
The party that doesn't take money from the National Rifle Association,
doesn't think that everyone should be Christian, and doesn't kill
people? Well, Campus Greens is like a little sect of the Green
Party, except younger and cuter. We're college/high school campus folks
promoting things like:
We try to give a voice to students who think far more progressively than the Young Republicans and College Democrats. We've fought Sodexo-Marriot off campuses, organized pro-peace rallies and poetry readings, worked towards Fair Trade coffee at our schools, promoted instant runoff voting in student elections, and we even had two rockin' sleepovers.
