State Representative Candidate Kerrie Dickson

Dickson Represents The Green Party In North Georgia

Kerrie Dickson is the Green Party's candidate for State Representative in District #8, which encompasses Union, Towns, Rabun and part of White Counties. A long-time legislative activist and Georgia Green Party co-chair, Dickson does not equivocate when asked about her goals. "I'll go to work on the issues my neighbors consider important," said Dickson. "We're fortunate to live in a pristine setting relatively free of corporate pollution. I already work with my community to preserve these mountains and to develop in a sane, ecologically conscience way our community's greatest economic assets - our skills, time and energy and the beauty we share which attracts the tourists who visit us here. But I'm Green. I know that while we need secure jobs paying livable wages, we can have so much more than just full employment. With a sustainable economic base, we can all know joyful and fulfilling lives both on and off the job."

Dickson Lists Her Issues

When asked about the issues she feels most strongly about, Dickson listed the following:
Clean Air, Water, Food and Politics
Non-Violent Juvenile Offender Sentencing Reform
Universal Access to Health Care
Livable Wages and the Right to Organize on the Job

Dickson Asks For Your Input

In closing, Dickson said, "Please write to me at foxfire@whitelion.net or call me at 706-896-7464. Because I'm an activist, not a politician, I will listen. Let me know what you want from your government."

Write in Kerrie Dickson On November 7th

Unfortunately, the Georgia Green Party's efforts to secure the necessary signatures to place Dickson on the Georgia ballot for the November 7th election failed. However, we can still vote for Dickson and the other Green Party candidates by writing their names in on the ballot. The rules for doing so are very strict, so please follow the link to find out How to Cast a Write-in Vote.
