If you're reading this message, it's probably because my servers rejected your email, because your email came to my servers through address space at CI Host belonging to ``propagation.net,'' whatever that is.

I've never received anything but spam from there, and as far as I know they are a pure spam house, with no legitimate customers.

If 1% of the 24 million businesses in the United States sent you a spam once a year, your email would be unusable. It would not matter at all if they had "opt-out" provisions.

To prevent the email system as we know it from being destroyed, responsible Internet access providers do not allow spamming. "Opt-out" is irrelevant.

If you had a legitimate reason to send email to a domain I serve, you can

1. find someplace to send from that's not in ``propagation's'' spammer-land, or
2. mail me at ``olivaw at writeme dot com'' and tell me the IP address of your server, and I'll give it a whitelist entry.
3. Or call me at 408-929-7601 and we can work something out.

If you find this policy inconvenient, your complaint is with CI Host, not with me. You can try calling CI Host at 1-888-868-9931 or "Propagation Networks" at 1-800-607-0123 Tell me what they said.
