The Denver Green Party is a grassroots
progressive political party focusing on community
activism and electoral politics. The DGP is a
member of the Colorado State Green Party
which is part of a confederation of state Green
Parties making up the Green Party of the United States.
In 2000, we helped with the Green Party
convention that nominated Ralph Nader for
President and Winona LaDuke for Vice President.
Since then we've been working on 2002 candidate
recruitment, community outreach, green business alliances, and
cosponsoring benefit concerts, rallies, and
protests with the likes of All Nations Alliance
(read the DGP's Transform Columbus Day statement here)
and Colorado Campaign for Middle East
Peace.
To get involved, please join our monthly
business meeting the third Thursday of the month
at 6:30 P.M. at the Park Hill Library (4705 Montview Blvd). The calendar lists other events
such as campaign meetings, rallies, protests and
the Green Salon each month at the Mercury Cafe
where you can discuss politics with other
progressives.
